Higgins trades chaos for contemplation with the deserted locations and sparse cinematography that amplifies the sense of isolation, while the film’s sharp, often witty dialogue carries both tension and tenderness. Every exchange from the well assembled cast feels weighted with the knowledge of the unknown, what fragile connection still remains, and what the future holds.
