The Shock Of The Future (English subs)

In Paris of 1978, old formulas do not charm listeners anymore and new music must arise.
In a male-dominated industry, Ana uses her electronic equipment to make herself heard, and when introduced to a new gadget, she creates a sound that will mark the decades to come......

The music of the future.

The Shock Of The Future, an insight into a special day in the life a musician and composer, Ana Klimova, and one which could change her life.......forever.
Ana doesn't get off to the best of starts to her day, suffering from the dreaded writers block (we've all been there!), that is until she is introduced to a new piece of equipment, the revolutionary CR-78 beatbox.

The Shock Of The Future is an interesting feature and definitely an acquired taste that is not suitable for all. As a film it is excellently presented by all the cast and crew and holds your attention well, especially when considering that 90% of what develops onscreen is within the confines of one room. The story itself pays homage to the "new wave music" movement of the late 70s and early 80s, and more significantly, the untold and generally unknown truth about the pioneering woman behind it.
For anyone with an interest in the music of this time period, or even with just an inkling of creativity, you'll find yourself immersed in a fictitious yet factual historical drama, for everyone else.........I'll leave that there (consider it writers block!).

The Shock Of The Future, turn off all the distractions, allow yourself to become totally engrossed by the music, and enjoy the trip........
Vive la révolution!
