 "This script is cursed!"

Added 8th January 2019

Snowflake / Schneeflöckchen

Released in 2017, Snowflake. Hunting down the murderer of their families in a near-future Berlin, a gang of lowlife characters all want revenge on each other.

Along the way they must contend with a myriad of wicked fairytale types-assassins, madmen, a blood-covered angel, and an electric-powered superhero, all apparently whom come to life through a screenplay written by a demented but clueless dentist.

The most fucked up German fairy tale since the brothers Grimm.

Snowflake, a script to die for (no pun intended), based around the story of a novice writer, the dentist, and his ability to create a prophetic fantasy tale told in a very gritty manner, much to the annoyance of the characters he has "created", which are excellently performed by all the cast and perfectly executed from the unique

perspective of every character throughout their journey, providing a very powerful and personal connection with the viewer at every bump, twist and turn.

Incredible cinematography and effects also provide pure quality throughout, far more superior than it's unbelievably low budget should allow, only adding to the enjoyment as the story unfolds.

Snowflake, a mostly spoken German (English subtitled) modern day

fairytale told in an epically kick-ass, comical, gloriously violent, yet heart warming, beautiful style and is a true masterclass in what can be achieved with a low budget.

A true classic, a pleasure to review, a joy to watch, we thank you!
