Inheritance

Released in 2017, Inheritance introduces us to Ryan Bowman, who  has just inherited a $2.5 million beach house on the Californian coast from his biological father, a man he's never known and thought long dead.

Arriving in the charming town with his pregnant fiancee, Ryan's curiosity about his father soon leads him into an introspective investigation. As a looming family presence tightens its grip on him, Ryan pushes away his adoptive family and expectant fiancee.

When he finally discovers the horrifying truth about his birth parents, he might be too late to stop himself from repeating a similar pattern.

Inheritance, could be considered the "Marmite" of psychological come supernatural thrillers. Initially you are drawn in by the shear quality of this production! The visual feast really is to die for with the cinematography alone being worthy of an extra 1 or 2 B's, congratulations to all on the end product.

Then there's the story.......by the end of the movie you WILL either wonder what the hell the last 1.1/2 hours was all about.....or be left sitting there nodding in approval agreeing with yourself on what a good movie you've just viewed. Thankfully, the B is of the latter, enjoying the story (which is quite slow), but mainly admiring the character growth and development, which drives you forward to the remarkable conclusion.

Obvious comparisons can made to "The Shining", also adding "The Amityville Horror" into the mix, with a hint of "Twin Peaks", but these comparisons should be taken lightly as Inheritance belongs, and rightfully so, to stand on it's own pedestal.

So is Inheritance a psychological thriller, a supernatural thriller... ......or just a thriller? As always no giveaways from The B Club,

you'll have to check it out yourself, however ones thing's for sure, opinions will be divided and at the very least, you will be on the lookout for Tyler Savage's next full length feature release.

Inheritance..........Marmite!
